Outreach and Counselling Services
Birchway Niagara provides ongoing support through our counselling services. All women who are currently experiencing or have experienced abuse in the past can access these services.
Areas of support provided through our counselling services are listed below; however each client is encouraged to identify their own unique goals and our counsellors will work with you to achieve these goals.
- Creating a plan to keep you and your children safe
- Developing a safe departure plan
- Learning the signs of abuse
- Self Esteem Building
- Life Skills
- Goal Setting
- Education or Job Training
- Resume building
All counselling takes place in a confidential, safe and non-judgmental environment.
Reminder: You don’t need to stay at one of our shelters to access our free, confidential counsellling programs and services. Simply call our 24-hour Crisis Line and we will be glad to discuss your counselling needs and talk with you about your next steps. All collect calls are accepted.
