The PECAN members are dedicated to assisting educators, coaches, members of religious affiliations, parents and any member of our community to become more informed and dedicated to ending Child Abuse in Niagara.
There has been a tremendous amount of information published about the types of abuse, the signs of abuse, and the behaviours of the abusers. This section is intended as a brief overview to help build awareness of the issue. PECAN is appreciative of the Department of Justice Canada, whose publication entitled “Child Abuse Is Wrong: What can I do?” serves as the source for much of the content in this section.
