PECAN’s partners are dedicated to assisting educators, coaches, members of religious affiliations, parents and any member of our community to become more informed and dedicated to end Child Abuse in Niagara.

We provide online summaries of child abuse prevention and support programs available through the various agencies in Niagara. We hope that browsing through our site helps you become more aware of our community resources and therefore acts as a vehicle to educate and inform more people, with the ultimate vision of ending child abuse in Niagara.

There has been a tremendous amount of information published about the types of abuse, the signs of abuse, and the behaviours of the abusers. Much of the content you’ll find in this section is courtesy of the Department of Justice Canada’s publication entitled “Child Abuse Is Wrong: What can I do?”.
