Child and Youth Program
The effects of domestic violence within a family are like dropping a rock into the lake; the impact ripples throughout the whole family. Our Child and Youth Advocates work with moms and their children who have witnessed or experienced trauma related to domestic violence. Services are available for all moms, as well as children ages 4 to 16. Our Child and Youth Advocates will assist with Youths ages 16 to 19 if needed.
One on one counselling is offered in the areas of:
- Bullying
- Divorce/Separation
- Family Violence Education
- Safety Planning
- Healthy Relationships
- Self Esteem
- Anger Management
- Parenting Support
Recreational activities are provided for kids to have fun and allow kids to be kids.
Playroom and craft rooms are available for moms and children to relax, do crafts and spend time together.
