Child Protection Services
Where a child is found to be at risk for abuse and neglect and the family is receiving child protection services, FACS is able to provide the following:
- A variety of supports and services to help children remain safely within their families
- Advocate for needed services for families such as:
dental care, housing, parenting programs, community referrals and counselling - Provide alternate care (kin, customary, Indigenous centred or foster care) when needed
- Assist youth in care with achieving independence
- Help with tutors, transportation and other needs
- Offer summer camp and educational support
- Indigenous Services
- Domestic Violence Services
