Child Protection Services

Where a child is found to be at risk for abuse and neglect and the family is receiving child protection services, FACS is able to provide the following:

• A variety of supports and services to help children remain safely within their families
• Advocate for needed services for families such as:
  dental care, housing, parenting programs, community referrals and counselling
• Provide alternate care (kin, customary, Indigenous centred or foster care) when needed
• Assist youth in care with achieving independence
• Help with tutors, transportation and other needs
• Offer summer camp and educational support
• Indigenous Services
• Domestic Violence Services
